MSDs

According to the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), MSDs represent approximately 30% of all lost-time compensation claims among IHSA member firms. The combined direct and indirect costs are estimated to be approximately 23% of total claims.

Left unaddressed, MSDs threaten both the health and safety of workers and the economic performance of companies. Preventing MSDs can help workplaces to reduce costs, boost productivity, improve product and service quality, and stimulate innovation.
