Preventing Work-Related Motor Vehicle Incidents (eLearning)

 

Program Description

This program will help employers who have employees that drive for work implement a Road Safety Program with the goal of reducing injuries and fatalities caused by motor vehicle incidents (MVI) and collisions. It will break down specialized road safety practices and processes into manageable steps that employers can implement in their workplaces.

 

Who Should Attend?

This program is intended for employers, small business owners and fleet managers who need guidance on getting started and are looking to build their knowledge about work related driving health and safety best practices beyond minimum compliance.

 

Course Duration

Time to complete: Estimated 60 minutes to 90 minutes

 

Learning Objectives

By the end of this program, learners will be able to:

  • 1. Recognize employers’ responsibilities for ensuring the safety of workers who drive for work
  • 2. Identify work-related road safety hazards
  • 3. Identify control measures to minimize exposure to work-related road safety hazards
  • 4. Recognize best practices for evaluating and monitoring the performance of road safety measures
  • 5. Recognize a framework for the continuous improvement of a Road Safety Program
