To make attending IHSA health and safety courses easier and more convenient for workers and supervisors, IHSA maintains a mobile classroom that travels to locations across Ontario. Workers can receive valuable training right in their communities, reducing the time away from their job.
The mobile classroom is available at locations across Ontario for training between the months of April and November each year. The mobile classroom is a completely outfitted classroom, capable of accommodating a number of IHSA courses that range in length from an hour to a full day, including:
-
Confined Space
-
Working at Heights
-
Traffic Control
-
WHMIS
-
And many more!
The Mobile Classroom also offers Site-Specific Hazard Awareness Training, a unique program that looks at site-specific hazards on a particular worksite, shows how workers are working with these hazards, and then provides training on how to reduce these hazards. This course is based on the needs of the particular company.
Mobile Classroom Schedule
The Mobile Classroom is available between the months of April and November, but it gets booked up quickly and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Dates and locations will be added to this page as they are confirmed. For more information and if you would like to request training at a specific location and date, please contact Doug Heintz, Manager Health and Safety Training, at dheintz@ihsa.ca.
