Program Description
This program is for experienced line clearing technicians. Work will be performed from a tree and/or aerial device in proximity to energized conductors. Equipment inspection, tool maintenance, and safety features will be reviewed for hydraulic pruners, chainsaws, and brush chippers.

NOTE
Delivery of this program at your facility will require a suitable space to complete the practical portion of the program as well as the required equipment. Please check with your IHSA Consultant/Trainer for specific requirements.
Prerequisites
Three years of industry experience is required.
Personal Protective Equipment / What to Bring
Participants are required to bring their own CSA-approved head, foot, and eye protection, suitable clothing for outside work (FR rated for work in an electrical environment), traffic vest, leather work gloves, climbing belt, rope, karabiners, climbing lanyards, tree climbing spurs, bucket harness, and Class #2 rubber gloves. Attendees will not be permitted to participate in the course if they do not bring the noted personal protective equipment, clothing, and tools.
Learning Evaluation
For successful completion of the course, a score of 75% is required on the final knowledge evaluation as well as successful completion of a hands-on competency evaluation.
Participant Course Evaluation
At the end of the training, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and provide comments about the training they received.
