Program Description
With the continuing trend toward underground systems, it is important that utility personnel keep abreast of the changing techniques and available equipment. This program helps underground construction or maintenance employees recognize and implement modern technology.

Who Should Attend?
Personnel who are involved in the design, installation, or maintenance of underground systems.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Personal Protective Equipment / What to Bring
Participants are required to bring their own CSA-approved head, foot, and eye protection, personal hand tools used in underground applications, suitable clothing for outside work (AR/FR rated for work in an electrical environment), and Class #2 rubber gloves and covers. Attendees will not be permitted to participate in the course if they do not bring the noted personal protective equipment and tools.
Learning Evaluation
A score of 70% on the final evaluation is required for successful completion of the course.
Participant Course Evaluation
At the end of the training, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and provide comments about the training they received.
NOTE
Delivery of this program at your facility will require a suitable space to complete the practical portion of the program as well as the required equipment. Please check with your IHSA Consultant/Trainer for specific requirements.
