Trenching Safety Hazard Awareness

Program Description

This program is primarily for firms that excavate deeper than 1.2 metres (4 ft). Emphasis is placed on soil types, legislation, and emergency work.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Who Should Attend?

Staff and supervisors involved in trenching and shoring.

Learning Evaluation

To obtain a certificate of completion for this program from IHSA, a participant must be present for the program and take part in a series of learning activities which include both classroom discussion and worksheets.

Participant Course Evaluation

At the end of the training, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and provide comments about the training they received.
