The Surface Miner Common Core is designed to meet the legislated requirements of the first three modules of the Surface Miner Program.

It is important to note that to become fully accredited by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) under the Surface Miner Program, participants must return to their workplace and demonstrate their skills and their understanding of the company's specific requirements—including government legislation, company standards, and manufacturer specifications—to a qualified trainer and be signed off and registered with the MLITSD by their company's signing authority.

Those workers involved in surface mining operations.
Participant Course Evaluation
At the end of the training, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and provide comments about the training they received.
