Program Description

Infrastructure Health & Safety Association

This training program gives participants a theoretical and hands-on understanding of the hazards associated with Class 7 Rough Terrain Rotational and Non-Rotational Telehandler, Vertical Mast Lift Trucks, and Truck-mounted Vertical Mast Lift Trucks. Participants will learn about the operational features of these trucks and learn about the general understanding of the Ontario Ministry of Labour guidelines and CSA Standard B335-15: Safety Standard for Lift Trucks.

  • Preoperational inspection
  • Equipment stability
  • Capacity and load charts
  • Operating the lift truck
 

Who Should Attend?

This program is for individuals who use Rough Terrain Class 7 Telehandler and Vertical Mast Lift Trucks.

 

Program Evaluation

A detailed two-page record of training, including a wallet card, will be issued to those who achieve a grade of 75%or higher and satisfactorily complete our hands-on evaluation. The record of training expires after three years.

 
NOTE

Delivery of this program at your facility will require a suitable space to complete the practical portion of the program as well as the required equipment. Please check with your IHSA Consultant/Trainer for specific requirements.

NOTE

Each participant is expected to bring their own CSA-approved head, foot, and eye protection and a traffic vest. Participants will not be permitted to participate in the course if they do not bring the noted personal protective equipment and tools.

For courses at your facility, you will be required to provide a suitable lift truck.
