Program Description

This IHSA course is hands-on

This program is designed to provide workers who work from aerial devices, as well as their ground crew, the knowledge necessary to perform a successful rescue of a co-worker. It will also give participants the opportunity to practice bucket evacuation—an important technique for operators of aerial devices.

  • Bucket rescue practice
  • Bucket evacuation practice
 

Who Should Attend?

Workers who work from aerial devices and associated ground crew.

 

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

 

Personal Protective Equipment / What to bring

Participants are required to bring their own CSA-approved head and eye protection, work gloves, suitable work clothing, approved fall arrest system (harness and shock absorbing lanyard), and approved fall restrict system for climbing wood poles. The participant will not be permitted to participate in the course if they do not bring the noted personal protective equipment and tools.

 

Participant Course Evaluation

At the end of the training, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and provide comments about the training they received.

 

NOTE

Delivery of this program at your facility will require a suitable space to complete the practical portion of the program as well as the required equipment. Please check with your IHSA Consultant/Trainer for specific requirements.
