Important Notice About Select Training Locations
Proof of Vaccination at Select Training Locations
Starting Sept 22, 2021, the Government of Ontario will require all participants who attend IHSA training courses in selected locations to be fully vaccinated. Participants attending events at these locations must provide proof of vaccination upon arrival. Unvaccinated participants who have a medical exemption must provide proof of exemption. Unvaccinated participants who do not meet the medical exemption requirements will not be permitted to participate in events at these locations and will have to be rescheduled for another date.
Exceptions to these requirements are in place for those who attend events at the facilities listed in this document.
Mandatory Use of Masks at IHSA Facilities and IHSA Hosted Events
Please note that the use of face masks or face coverings will still be required from all attendees at all IHSA facilities, or at IHSA-hosted events, regardless of vaccination status.
Persons who meet the exemption requirements outlined in their local municipal by-laws (i.e., those who have underlying medical conditions) must notify IHSA at least 10 business days prior to the start date of their event to allow for reasonable accommodation to be made that will ensure the safety of other participants and IHSA staff. Those who fail to provide IHSA with 10 business days’ notice may be required to reschedule their event.
Program Description
The purpose of this legislation is to identify vehicle problems and defects before the vehicle is driven on the highway as per the Ontario Highway Traffic Act and regulations. Driver daily vehicle Inspections are a crucial step to preventing the operation of vehicles with conditions that are likely to cause or contribute to the severity of a collision. This seminar will provide the information your drivers and managers need to understand and comply with the regulations. All participants in addition to the seminar will receive the Practical Vehicle Inspection guide book published by the Canadian Trucking Alliance.
Who Should Attend?
