Program Description
This hands-on program is intended to provide participants with an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and understanding of safe work practices when working on telecom or utility poles in proximity to energized electrical apparatuses. Participants will learn safe and proficient methods for performing this type of work. The program incudes both classroom and field work and is available in a one-day or two-day format.

Who Should Attend?
Personnel who climb wooden telecom or utility poles in the course of their work.
Personal Protective Equipment / What to Bring
Participants are required to bring their own CSA-approved head, eye, foot protection, work gloves, suitable clothing, all climbing equipment and hand tools (belt and spurs), and approved fall restrict system for climbing wood poles.
Attendees will not be permitted to participate in the course if they do not bring the noted personal protective equipment and clothing.
Learning Evaluation
Participant evaluation is based on hands-on demonstration as well as a written final learning evaluation at the completion of the course.
