Program Description

This course will help participants become familiar with the competencies necessary for effective facilitation of training. Participants will learn proven methods to help them facilitate health and safety training that gets results on the job.

The course addresses the training cycle, how adults learn, and successful delivery techniques. Participants will take part in a variety of exercises. Training concludes with a practical demonstration of basic facilitation skills.

IHSA is among the leading organizations that have adopted the CSTD Competencies for Training and Development Professionals as the model and reference standard of practice for workplace learning and development professionals.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Learning Evaluation

To obtain a certificate of completion for this program, participants must be present for the entire program, take part in a series of exercises, and successfully demonstrate their basic facilitation skills.

Participant Course Evaluation

At the end of the training, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and provide comments about the training they received.
