Ergonomics for Skilled Trades – Practical Guidelines and Tips
Program Description
This course is geared toward anyone working within the skilled trades and is delivered in an electronic presentation format. Topics include musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), ideal working heights and postures, working in hot and cold environments, tool selection, and general manual material handling.
Program Content
- Help workers understand what MSDs are and how they develop.
- Raise awareness of common ergonomic issues that are present in work environments.
- Help workers recognize and minimize the risk factors to which they may be exposed.
- Encourage workers to identify and report concerns and suggest potential solutions.

There are no prerequisites for this course.
Who Should Attend?
Managers, supervisors, and those in skilled trades.
Participant Course Evaluation
At the end of the training, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and provide comments about the training they received.
