Program Description
This program is intended for personnel who operate or supervise the operation of any of the following equipment:

Non self-propelled elevating work platforms

Self-propelled elevating work platforms
-
Self-propelled boom-type elevating work platforms.
Elevating Work Platforms training provides basic information on elevating work platforms. After the training the employer must provide oral, written, and hands-on instruction in the specific machine the worker will operate and the specific hazards the worker could encounter in the workplace.

NOTE
To receive a program certificate the participant must complete the classroom learning exercises and satisfy the requirements of the hands-on inspection and operation portion of the program.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone who works with or around elevating work platforms (including supervisors)
Prerequisites
This course has a prerequisite, so online registration is not available. Please contact a Customer Service Representative at 1-800-263-5024 to register.
IHSA’s Working at Heights–Fundamentals of Fall Prevention (or an equivalent working at heights training program approved by the Ministry of Labour/Prevention Office)
Important Notice
Participants must bring a CSA-certified hard hat, CSA-certified safety boots, CSA-certified full-body harness and lanyard, and eye protection.
NOTE
Delivery of this program at your facility will require a suitable space to complete the practical portion of the program as well as the required equipment. Please check with your IHSA Consultant/Trainer for specific requirements.
