Electrical Safety Awareness – Hydrovac Operators

This one-day awareness course provides participants with a basic understanding of electrical hazards related to hydrovac/vacuum truck use and what is required to assess and control these hazards.

Who Should Attend?

This program is suitable for operators or support personnel working with or near hydrovac/vacuum trucks.

Important Notice

This is an awareness program only. Successful completion DOES NOT qualify the participant to install, inspect, maintain, or repair electrical equipment/apparatus except as set out in the applicable legislation.


There are no prerequisites for this course.

Personal Protective Equipment / What to Bring

Participants are required to bring their own CSA approved foot, head and eye protection, suitable outdoor clothing, suitable work gloves. The participant will not be permitted to participate in the course if they do not bring the noted personal protective equipment.

Learning Evaluation

To obtain a certificate of completion for this program, participants must be present for the full program and achieve a grade of 70% or more on the written multiple-choice test.

Participant Course Evaluation

At the end of the training, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and provide comments about the training they received.
