Program Description
This one-day awareness course provides participants with a basic understanding of electrical hazards related to the telecommunications sector and what is required to assess and control these hazards.

Who Should Attend?
This program is suitable for workers such as telecommunications personnel who are working near high-voltage and low-voltage equipment that is located overhead or underground.
Important Notice
This is an awareness program only. Successful completion DOES NOT qualify the participant to install, inspect, maintain, or repair electrical equipment/apparatus except as set out in the applicable legislation.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Learning Evaluation
To obtain a certificate of completion for this program, participants must be present for the full program and achieve a grade of 70% or more on the written multiple-choice test.
Participant Course Evaluation
At the end of the training, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and provide comments about the training they received.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Registration fees for IHSA’s in-class training courses will be increasing. If you are registering for a course scheduled to take place prior to March 31, 2024, the price is unchanged. If you are registering for a course scheduled for April 1, 2024 or later, the price will be higher. Please see the tables below for more information.
