Program Description

Motor-vehicle incidents (MVIs) are the leading cause of workplace fatalities in Ontario. That’s due in large part to an increasing number of distracted driving collisions. Distracted driving refers to driving while engaged in other activities that take the driver’s attention away from the task of driving. In Ontario, the OPP report that someone is involved in a distracted driving collision every 30 minutes, on average. However, this is completely preventable.

The Distracted Driving e-learning program is designed to help you:

  • 1. Recognize driving distractions
  • 2. Identify the risks of distracted driving
  • 3. Recognize the penalties for distracted driving
  • 4. Identify strategies to prevent and avoid distracted driving.

All road users including drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and parents.
