Confined Space Entry - Toronto Hydro Contractors

Program Description

This program blends in-class learning with a practical training component. Upon course completion, participants will be knowledgeable about confined space requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, will be able to recognize confined spaces and describe the major hazards, will be able to identify controls, and will be able to perform a confined-space rescue.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Who Should Attend?

Toronto Hydro contractors who are required to enter confined spaces.

Personal Protective Equipment

Participants are required to bring their own CSA-approved head, eye, and foot wear. Participants are also required to bring their own work gloves suitable for hand protection. The participant will not be permitted to participate in the course if they do not bring the noted personal protective equipment.

Learning Evaluation

Learners must achieve 75% on a written knowledge evaluation to successfully complete the course. This training card has a 3 year expiry.

Participant Course Evaluation

At the end of the training, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and provide comments about the training they received.
