Program Description
This program is offered for those workers who use power chainsaws for general ground use. The program is designed to help workers ensure safe and proficient operating practices.

Who Should Attend?
Personnel who use a chainsaw (including supervisors).
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Personal Protective Equipment / What to bring
Participants are required to bring their own CSA-approved head, eye/face shield, and foot protection, chainsaw/leather work gloves, ear protection, and leg protection/chaps. The participant will not be permitted to participate in the course if they do not bring the noted personal protective equipment and tools.
Participants must provide their own PPE and chainsaw for the hands-on portion of the training. A list of required PPE is provided with the registration confirmation.
Learning Evaluation
To receive a program certificate, the participant must achieve 75% on the written evaluation and satisfy the requirements of the hands-on maintenance and operation portions of the program.
NOTE
Delivery of this program at your facility will require a suitable space to complete the practical portion of the program as well as the required equipment. Please check with your IHSA Consultant/Trainer for specific requirements.
