Program Description
This program introduces or reinforces the proper isolating and maintenance procedures of air break switches and load interrupters using rubber and fibre protective equipment and live line tools.

Who Should Attend?
Personnel performing this type of work (including supervisors).
NOTE
Delivery of this program at your facility will require a suitable space to complete the practical portion of the program as well as the required equipment. Please check with your IHSA Consultant/Trainer for specific requirements.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this program.
Personal Protective Equipment / What to Bring
Participants are required to bring their own CSA-approved head, eye, foot protection, traffic vest, full-body harness/lanyard, leather work gloves, AR/FR rated clothing, rubber gloves and covers, and personal hand tools. Note: The outside live line work is on 27.6kV Class #4. Rubber gloves will be required. If your employer does not have class 4 gloves, gloves will be supplied by IHSA. The participant will not be permitted to participate in the course if they do not bring the noted personal protective equipment and tools.
Participant Course Evaluation
At the end of the training, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and provide comments about the training they received.
