Services

IHSA offers the following services, which employers may find useful in supporting the development of an effective road safety program and/or enhancing your workplace practices to prevent motor vehicle incidents.

1. CVOR Panel Review

CVOR Panel Review

Under the auspices of IHSA, the Panel will review appeals resulting from the Ministry of Transportation's Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) accident monitoring system. The Panel's main purpose will be to make impartial CVOR accident point determinations from the facts submitted in an appeal. The Panel is an unbiased, neutral, highly-qualified third party. The Panel will maintain complete confidentiality. Learn more about CVOR Panel Review.

2. CVOR Facility Audit

CVOR Facility Audit

Using a Pre-MTO Facility Audit format, a qualified IHSA auditor will diagnose transportation compliance elements for remedial action. Depending on the size of your firm and the complexity of its work activities, the audit often takes three to four days. After the initial phase is complete, the auditor will compose written recommendations on how to improve your firm's existing program. Then, the auditor will schedule an in-person meeting with your firm's representatives to review the results. You will work together to develop an action plan. Subsequent mentoring and support is provided as required. Learn more about the Pre-MTO Facility Audit.

3. Fleet Safety Council

Fleet Safety Council

The Fleet Safety Council is an association of driver trainers and safety professionals working to promote safety within the transportation, transport, bus, and coach industries. The Council encourages the improvement of driver behavior through increased awareness and training. Working with Government agencies and private organizations, the Council strives for a uniform system of safety requirements for drivers in Ontario.

This new Excellence Program is designed to provide businesses with a clear road map to improving their health and safety processes and systems. Participants create safer workplaces and can earn both financial and non-financial rewards. Learn more about the Health and Safety Excellence Program and how to register your business.

5. Small Business Solutions
