Fatality Notice: IHSA has learned of two separate fatalities this week: One involved a millwright and the other a utility employee. One workplace fatality in any year is one too many, regardless of the sector, industry, or occupation. Please pause all work for a safety moment and re-establish a commitment to the prevention of injuries, illnesses, and fatalities.

The IHSA Safety Podcast launches with a three-part series on road safety

The Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA) is thrilled to launch a new podcast that will bring more on-demand health and safety resources to their members and the public.

The IHSA Safety Podcast is a free podcast that seeks to improve the lives of workers in Ontario—one thought-provoking discussion at a time. IHSA engages with professionals and industry influencers to help them implement and improve health and safety solutions for workers and the workplace. Each episode explores best practices, resources, and training to control and eliminate safety hazards in work environments involving high-risk activities in the industries that IHSA serves: construction, transportation, and electric utilities.

Available online at ihsasafetypodcast.ca, the new podcast is an opportunity for IHSA to reach broader audiences, wherever they are across the province, whenever they want health and safety resources at their fingertips.

The podcast launches this week with a three-part series on road safety, featuring candid conversations with OPP Sergeant Kerry Schmidt.
