Limited time: IHSA offers FREE naloxone eLearning program to eligible workplaces

To help workplaces comply with new provincial training requirements for naloxone kits in the workplace, IHSA will offer a free eLearning program for a limited time.

Starting June 1, 2023, the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) will require that employers provide and maintain naloxone kits in the workplace if there is a reasonable risk that a worker could overdose on opioids.

To support affected workplaces – who will have to ensure employees are properly trained to administer naloxone – IHSA will offer a free naloxone eLearning program. Anyone in a workplace who is responsible for a naloxone kit or wants to learn how to respond to an opioid overdose should attend.

Access the course here.
