Falls Awareness Week: Download the Fall Prevention Toolkit and more

From May 4–8, 2026, IHSA will join workplaces across Ontario and promote Falls Awareness Week (FAW), an event dedicated to preventing and spreading awareness of falls and fall hazards.

Getting involved

Get your workplace involved in Falls Awareness Week:

• Download the 2026 Fall Prevention Toolkit (W016)
• Stop for 15-30 minutes each day to conduct a safety talk
• Refresh or review your fall protection plan with your crew

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing daily resources that will help workplaces prevent falls, which are one of the leading causes of death and critical injury in the construction industry. Resources include:
